While the walls of the wooden building were painted black, the windows were treated with airy white shade, 2686 Tuulikki. Like Susanna, you can paint the wooden window frames of your summer house creamy white with Teho Ikkunamaali.
The barn stands on an old farm that belongs to Susanna’s family and welcomes the whole family every summer. Susanna Vento and her mother and sister were looking for a summer home and they found the farm with a large garden, a vegetable patch and a field in 2012. They have already done some work on the interior surfaces. This summer it was time to work on the barn facade: the wall surfaces, windows, doors and socle.
Putting the idea into practice
Painting the window frames with Teho Ikkunamaali:
1. WASH THE OLD SURFACES
Wash the old paint surface and brush the dirt off with a scrubbing brush.
2. REMOVE LOOSE PAINT
Remove the old, loose/chipping paint with a scraper.
3. APPLY PRIMER
Use a brush to apply the Valtti Pohjuste (primer) on the bare wood surface if required. After that, treat the surface once with Öljypohja.
5. PAINT WITH TEHO IKKUNAMAALI
Paint the primed surface with Teho Ikkunamaali.
