How to oil wooden furniture

Treating your wooden furniture with oil provides protection against moisture, humidity, and temperature changes, preventing drying, cracking, and warping. Additionally, oiling enhances the natural beauty of the wood, bringing out its grain patterns and colours. 1. Preparations

1. Read product instructions carefully and collect the necessary tools according to instructions. 
2. Clean the wooden furniture surface from dirt, wax or grease with suitable detergent. 

2. Sanding

Sand with fine sandpaper (220 – 320 grit). Remove the sanding dust properly. 

3. Oiling

1. Shake wood oil canister in order to stir the oil. Use suitable tool such as sponge for applying oil. 
2. Apply the first layer oil evenly on all surfaces. Pay attention on applying oil also to the edges.
3. After approximately 20 minutes, remove the excessive oil with clean cloth. 

4. Polishing and oiling

1. Polish the surface with a polishing machine or lint-free cloth. 
2. Leave to dry according to product instruction. 
3. Apply the second layer if needed.
