Product Features
For protection and priming of timber and wooden structures before surface treatment. Suitable for use on logs, sawn and planed timber, thermally treated and impregnated wood in exterior use before surface treatment. Use the product only as wood preservative as described in product data sheet and label. Finishing coats are recommended to be applied as soon as possible, because colorless priming oil does not protect the wood surface from the adverse effects of sunlight.
Recommended Uses
All wooden structures to be treated with wood stains or paints (except surfaces to be treated with wood oils and barn-red paints). Woodwork outside (use categories 2 and 3). Can be used on wooden parts left above ground that are either exposed to or protected from weather, but are exposed to repeated wetting. Not for use on wood in direct soil or water contact or in marine environment. Not to be used on interior surfaces.
Sawn surfaces 4–5 m²/l. Planed surfaces 10–12 m²/l.

Easily absorbs into the wood
The oil containing protection penetrates into the wood to ensure a long life of the wood and long lasting protection against a wide range of wood destroying organisms. The colourless primer easily absorbs into the wood and makes untreated wood water-repellent.
Protection against blue stain fungi & mould
Valtti Pohjuste is a colourless, deep-absorbing wood protection that makes the surface water-repellent and protects against mould and blue stain fungi. Valtti Pohjuste slows down the absorption of moisture and the formation of mold and blue stains on primed surfaces.
Increased durability primer + top coat
The protective primer on wood improves the adhesion of the finishing paint and helps keep the paint clean longer. Prime surfaces before applying finishing paint to increase the durability of wooden exterior surfaces.
