Before: Dated and pale

This old bathroom in 90s era pale, grayish white tiles was in need of an update. Even though the room is relatively big, it didn’t feel nice and spacious. Instead, the pale colour made it a little dreary and bleak.

After: Fresh and personal

The bathroom was brought to life with a fresh yellow, H300 Lemonade, and a calm gray X487 Plaster shade on the walls. The fresh colour combination, together with some new decor, made the room feel homely and comfortable. Black accents on the shelves and floor introduced some depth to the space, and the bright background on walls made the beautiful details, such as baskets, flower pots and neatly rolled towels, stand out.

When it’s about your home, you get to choose the style and colours that enhance your own well-being and comfort. Go as wild or as neat and minimalistic as you like. For the tiles, you can choose one colour or combine a few. Find inspiration in your interior style and your favourite shades.

The advantage of paint is that it makes renovating a bathroom possible for anyone who can grab a roller. In practice, painting tiles doesn’t differ from painting a wall.

If you’re looking for a bigger change, besides painting the tiles, you might consider changing the vanity, adding some lighting or maybe covering the old floor with wooden flooring tiles. And while you’re saving money when not having to change the tiles, a new sink or shower head could be good alternative investment.
