For our yearly Color Now collection, we form a palette of colours that gives you a chance to find a new perspective – in the year 2021 this palette reflects the beauty of nature through colours. Collection draws inspiration from the sky and the sea and it includes earthy shades that will make your home warm and playful for 2021, fresh, light and airy hues are taking over: we love combining pastel colours to wooden surfaces and warm beiges to create that 70’s vibe and bringing out the natural vibes of green through a combination of green, beige and blue.. Already feeling inspired? Let us show how to put ideas into practice.
Get creative with colours
Color Now 2021 collections consists of ten different shades that work great as stand-alone colours or with different combinations:
-
Y354 Cumulus: the perfect light-blue
-
S329 Freesia: a bright pink with a slightly muted undertone
-
L429 Indigo: deep, calm blue
-
G481 Mirage: light grey that changes appearance depending on the light
-
X381 Aloe: soothing but trendy light green
-
K480 Tamarix: warm and earthy beige
-
M425 Beetroot: deep, rich burgundy
-
N378 Ficus: dark green with natural hue
-
S311 Heat: burnt orange
-
H405 Doll: gentle neutral hue
For bedrooms and living spaces, our favourite colour combinations are Y354 Cumulus, S311 Heat and H405 Doll and N378 Ficus with Y354 Cumulus. Or if you are looking for a perfect cosy beige or light grey and don’t want to incorporate brighter colours to your space, we recommend painting your whole room with K480 Tamarix or G481 Mirage.
If you’re feeling adventurous and playful, try painting the lower half of your walls with S311 Heat and upper half with Y354 – the lower half will look almost like a headboard and the two colours together create an interesting combination. The gentle hue of H405 Doll is designed to complement all the colours of the collection so you can tone your bedroom colours down with using it for example on furniture: a bedside table would look lovely painted with this soft colour.
For a more toned-down end-result, try painting the walls with Y354 Cumulus, paint your bedside tables with N378 Ficus and combine beige, natural textiles with the two colours – it creates a calm and spacious, Nordic feel to your space. And don’t forget to add plants to polish the overall look!
Colour up your furniture
Color Now collection is all about the colours – sometimes the most unexpected colour combinations work the best and that’s why we want to keep on experimenting with different colour combinations.
Instead of using a range of similar colours on walls and furniture, mixing of colours with a bold yet thoughtful plan, might just be the new style your homes needs. In this room where wall is painted with Tikkurila colour of the year Cumulus Y354, door was painted with light green X381 Aloe, chairs with a pinkish beige H405 Doll and cabinet into a warm beige colour K480 Tamarix – these colours all work great together with shades of blue.
