Make the most of Midsummer at a cottage

A summer cottage is an oasis of relaxation. Keep cottage well maintained for the perfect Midsummer experience.

Fresh air, green scenery, birds singing. When it’s time to relax, take a break from everyday life and enjoy the calmness of nature, we head to a summer cottage. Especially Midsummer is an excellent time to spend time at the cottage as we celebrate the beauty of summer and the midnight sun in the Nordic countries.

At its best, a summer cottage is a place where schedules don't exist. While keeping cottage maintenance well planned, you will more likely to enjoy the freedom of summer joy to its full extend.

Brightening up the summer atmosphere

There is no feeling like the first summer in a newly renovated cottage. After a makeover, this little yellow cottage is now ready for Midsummer celebrations. The owners freshened up the external walls with Pika-Teho paint in the colour Q112 Hirssi. The light yellow colour gives the cottage a playful and summery look. The wooden plinth was transformed with the Q801 Satakieli tone, which blends perfectly with the craggy ground.

From summer haven to Midsummer paradise

A summer cottage can be converted into a Midsummer paradise in many ways. By small DIY project, such as painting the kitchen chairs with M495 Arctic Willow gives this cottage a refreshing pop of colour. You can plant a flowerbed to complete the look of your cottage or brighten up your mornings with a flower vase on the kitchen table.
