Fulfils the emission and VOC content requirements of LEED v4 (according to the method accepted for investments realized outside USA) and BREEAM classification system.

Recommended Uses

Walls and ceilings in dry interior premises in public buildings.

Coverage

Theoretical coverage 8-12 m²/l. Recommended dry film thickness: 32- 47um. Practical coverage depends on the application method, conditions, shape and roughness of the surface to be treated.

Application Method

brush, roller, spraying

Application Conditions

The surface to be painted must be dry, the temperature at least +10°C and the relative humidity of the air below 80%.

Surface preparation

Unpainted surfaces: Clean the new surfaces by removing any dirt and dust. Fill the surfaces with a suitable Tikkurila Presto or Prestonit filler, if needed, and sand the dried surface. Remove the sanding dust. Prime with Ässä 1 Primer and Ceiling paint. Previously painted surfaces: Wash the surfaces with diluted Maalipesu detergent and rinse carefully with water. Sand the hard, glossy painted surfaces non-glossy. Remove the sanding dust. Fill the cracks and holes with a suitable Tikkurila Presto or Prestonit filler and sand the dried surface. Remove the sanding dust. Prime with Ässä 1 Primer and Ceiling paint, if needed.

Painting

First coat:

Stir Ässä 7 well before use and thin with water, if necessary. Apply 1-2 times with a roller, spray or brush.

Maintenance Painting:

Surfaces painted with Ässä 7 can be recoated with same or similar water-borne paint. See preparation.

Maintenance Instructions

If product is used as topcoat, surfaces can be cleaned after approx. 1 month from treating the surface, at the earliest. Clean the surfaces with a neutral (pH 6–8) cleaning solution and e.g. a sponge or cleaning cloth. Clean very dirty surfaces with a mild alkaline (pH 8–10) cleaning solution and e.g. a cleaning cloth or sponge. After washing, rinse the surface thoroughly. Follow the dilution instructions given by the detergent manufacturer when mixing the cleaning solution. After surface treatment, surfaces must be handled with care for a few weeks, as the product will reach its final hardness and durability after about a month under normal conditions. If the surfaces need to be cleaned soon after finishing, clean them lightly with a damp cleaning cloth.

VOC

(cat A/a) 30g/l(2010). Ässä 7 contains less than 10g/l VOC.

Wear resistance
