Eternit Primer

Primer for fibre cement roofs.

Eternit Primer is a waterborne primer for fibre cement roofs, especially suitable for older very absorbent roof plates. Eternit Primer penetrates into the fibre cement plate and ensures good adhesion of the topcoat. Eternit Primer should always be overcoated with Isonit 12, 20, 50 or Rubber. Rubber is especially recommended for degraded primed fibre cement plates.

Eternit Primer is used on fibre cement, fibre cement slates and concrete. Eternit Primer is not suitable for use on clay tiles or natural slate.

5-7 m²/l (1 layer) The practical spreading rate depends on application method, form and surface of the material.

Store in a cool place, protected from frost in tightly closed original containers, and out of reach for children.

The temperature must be between 8° C and 30° C and relative humidity <85 % RH.

Roofs to be primed with Eternit Primer should be thoroughly cleaned using high-pressure washer and Iso A-Clean.

First coat:

To ensure the optimum layer thickness, apply the paint in two layers. Allow sufficient drying time between applications. Always make a test coat to ensure the compatibility of product and surface.

Clean tools with water and detergent.

Avoid spillage into drains, water systems and soil. Destroy liquid waste according to the local regulations. Recycle or dispose of empty, dry cans in accordance with local regulations. VOC: Max. 30 g/l (Kat. A/h)
