Finnseco KL6

Polymer-modified cement mortar containing fiber and additives that prevent shrinkage and improve thixotropy and adhesion.

For repairing minor concrete damage and finishing patching performed with Finnseco KL30 coarse repair mortar.

Residential, commercial, industrial and storage buildings and others.

A 25 kg sack will give approx. 14 liters of mix. Grade: 0–0.6 mm.

Waterborne

The temperature of the air, repair mortar and substrate must be at least +5 °C. Avoid working when it is hot or in direct sunlight.

Remove any loose and damaged concrete. Pick-dress the edges of the area to be repaired to make them gently sloping. Remove concrete from around the exposed reinforcement bars (minimum 15 mm or 1.5 times the diameter of the reinforcement), clean the reinforcement of rust to at least grade St2 and coat the reinforcement with Finnseco-KOR anti-corrosion paint. MIXING THE MORTAR Add the Finnseco-KL 6 powder to clean water (4–4.5 l water to 25 kg powder) and mix to an even consistency, e.g. with a whisk attached to a power drill or in a mixer. Let the mix stand for approx. 5 minutes and mix again before starting work.

First coat:

REPAIRS Moisten the area to be repaired carefully 1–2 hours before starting. You can start the repairs when the moist area is no longer glossy. Pack mortar into the hole to be repaired with a trowel. This eliminates any air pockets that could weaken the bond. The mortar can also be applied by spraying with a paste-spraying gun. Extensive areas several centimeters deep should be repaired in stages. In the first stage, pack mortar into the hole to a thickness of 10–15 mm. Let the patch dry for at least one day before continuing to fill it. If the damaged area is more than 30 mm deep and 100 × 100 mm large, fill it with Finnseco-KL 30 repair mortar. NOTE! When treating a surface containing asbestos, follow the Government Decision on Asbestos Work (1380/1994) and the related Decrees 318/2006 and 863/2010. Only mix the amount of mortar your can use in approx. 20 minutes. The repaired surface should be finished gently with a wood float.
