Luja Yleispohjamaali

Acrylic primer. The product contains an anti-mold agent that protects the paintwork.

For priming concrete, plaster, filler-treated, brick, cardboard, chipboard, gypsum board and woodfiber board surfaces. Suitable for both new and previously painted surfaces. Also adheres well to previously painted clean dispersion, alkyd, epoxy and acid-cured paint surfaces.

Wall and ceiling surfaces in interior spaces. Suitable as a primer for Luja finishing paints and Tikkurila interior acrylic paints. Also under wallpapers.

Theoretical coverage: 8 m²/l. Practical coverage depends on the application method, conditions, shape and roughness of the surface to be treated.

The surface to be painted must be dry, the temperature at least +5°C and the relative humidity of the air below 80%.

Unpainted surfaces: Clean the unpainted surfaces of any dirt and dust. If necessary, level the surfaces with a suitable Presto filler and sand the dried surface. Remove the sanding dust. Previously painted surfaces: Wash previously painted surfaces with Maalipesu cleaning agent and rinse carefully with water. Fill holes and cracks with a suitable Presto filler and sand the dried surface. Remove the sanding dust.

First coat:

Stir Luja Yleispohjamaali well before use and thin with water, if necessary. Apply with a roller, a brush or a spray gun. The finishing paint can be e.g. Luja, Remontti-Ässä or Ässä finishing paint.

If needed, after approx. 1 month from surface treatment, at the earliest. Clean the surfaces with a well-squeezed, damp soft sponge or cleaning cloth and a neutral (pH 6–8) washing solution. Follow the dilution instructions given by the detergent manufacturer when mixing the washing solution. The surface may not remain wet after cleaning. After the surface treatment, surfaces must be handled with care for a few weeks as the product achieves its final hardness and durability after about one month under normal conditions. If the surfaces need to be cleaned soon after surface treatment, clean them lightly with a damp cleaning cloth.

EU VOC-limit value (cat A/g) 30g/l(2010). Luja Yleispohjamaali contains VOC max. 30 g/l.
