Description

Dust-binding agent based on a small particle acrylate adhesive.

Product Features

Dust-binding of untreated rock material surfaces. The dust-binding agent penetrates the pores of the surface well because of its size, and makes the substrate stronger. Does not form a film-like surface or alter the original color of the surface.

Recommended Uses

Concrete, plaster, filler and tile surfaces and most common mineral plates on wall and ceiling surfaces in dry interior spaces. Also suitable for the treatment of concrete floors and exterior spaces that are protected from the strain caused by weather conditions.

Coverage

4–8 m²/l. The roughness and porosity of the surface to be treated affect the coverage.

Thinner

Waterborne

Storage

Must be protected from frost. Store in a dry and cool place, protected from sunlight. Close can carefully for the next use. An opened container does not withstand long-term storage.

Application Conditions

During dust-binding and drying, the temperature of the air, the surface and the product must be at least +5 °C and the relative air humidity less than 80%. Do not apply the product on a wet or non-absorbent surface.

Surface preparation

The surface must be sufficiently dried and hardened before the dust-binding treatment. The drying and hardening time of a plaster surface depends, for example, on the consistency of the plaster used (such as the relation of lime and cement), drying and hardening conditions and the thickness of the plaster layer. Unpainted surfaces are cleaned by removing any dirt, dust or salt. If the formation of salt is very strong and continuous, the surfaces must not be treated before the cause for the salt formation has been removed. Concrete surfaces that have been cast against a mold must be treated using a mechanical method, such as sand-blasting, in order to achieve a sufficient surface profile. Remove any glassy and glossy cement stone from the surface using sand-blasting, a sanding stone for sanding concrete or pressure cleaning with added sand. When handling a surface containing asbestos, the decision of the Council of State respecting work with asbestos No. 1380 of 1994 must be followed along with related decrees 318/2006 and 863/2010.

Painting

First coat:

Mix Pölynsidonta-aine well before use. Apply unthinned Pölynsidonta-aine on the surface. The application amount is correct when the product has been absorbed into the pores of the surface and there is no glossy, varnish-like film on the surface.

Maintenance Painting:

A surface that has been treated with Pölynsidonta-aine can be maintenance-treated with the same product. Recoatable, if necessary. Any further treatment can be performed the following day.

VOC

(cat A/h) max. 30 g/l (2010). Dust binding agent contains VOC max. 30 g/l.

Goodbye to concrete dust

Pölynsidonta-aine (Dust-Binding Agent) is suitable for aggregate-coated walls and ceilings, as well as for concrete floors in dry interior spaces. Thanks to its small-particled binder, it penetrates well into the pores of the substrate and strengthens it.
