The concrete surface must be dry and at least 4 weeks old. The relative humidity of the concrete must be below 97%. During painting and drying, the temperature of the air, surface and paint must be over +10 °C and the relative humidity of air below 80%.
Surface preparation
Unpainted floors: Cement floors: Remove the laitance with a grinding machine. Remove the sanding dust. Wooden floors: Remove all dirt, dust, grease and oil. Previously painted floor: Wash with Maalipesu cleaning agent and rinse carefully with water. Allow to dry. Remove the old, loose paint. Sand the surfaces thoroughly and remove the sanding dust.
Painting
First coat:
Stir the paint well before use. Finish primed surface with 2–3 coats of unthinned Solid WB-L. Use a short-pile roller or, for smaller surfaces, a synthetic brush. Note! The paint will dry quickly, so plan your work so as to avoid visible overlapping. Work lengthwise along the boards, treating a few boards at a time. Any patching up should be done when the surface has dried. ROUGHENING: To reduce the slipperiness of the painted surface, add one 1/3 l container of Liukueste non-slip powder to 10 liters of unthinned Solid WB-L paint. It is sufficient to stir by hand. Use the roughened paint for the last two finishing coats. The roughened paint can be used for painting the entire floor surface or a part marked off with masking tape. With stairs, for example, you can add an anti-slip strip to the outer edge of each step.
Maintenance Painting:
Maintanance painting shall be performed with 1–3 coats of unthinned Solid WB-L.
