Temafloor Fluat

A crystalline, water soluble, silicon fluoride, surface impregnating agent for concrete floors.

• Suitable for dust binding and surface hardening of unfinished old and new concrete floors. • Reacts with the calcium carbonate in the concrete surface. Does not form any film. Can be coated with Temafloor coatings and screeds if necessary.

• Recommended for e.g. warehouses and multistorey garages.

Package 25 kg / Area of the floor 150 m²: 1st treatment: Temafloor Fluat 9 kg + water 65 litres. 2nd treatment: Temafloor Fluat 16 kg + water 65 litres. Coverage depends on the porosity of the substrate.

The relative humidity of the concrete should not exceed 97%. Residual moisture content should be below 4 weight-%. The temperature of the ambient air, surface or coating should not fall below +15ºC during application or drying. Relative humidity of air should not exceed 80%.

Always remove all grease, oil, and other impurities with Maalipesu detergent before grinding. Remove laitance or old peeling paint layers by power grinding, milling, or vacuum grit blasting. Choose the method best suited for the premises. Clean out pot holes removing all loose or brittle material. Open cracks with e.g. an abrasive tool. After mechanical pre-treatment remove all loose material and dust carefully with a vacuum cleaner. The substrate must have a tensile strength above 1.5 MPa. For application on cementitious leveling screed: check compatibility with the leveling screed manufacturer.

First coat:

Pour the solution over the clean surface and apply it with brush or spatula so that the whole surface is covered. Let the solution lay on the surface at least 3 hours by brushing the surface at the same time. After the treatment rinse the surface with plenty of water. Let the surface dry at least one day before the following treatment. The second treatment is carried out in the same way as the first treatment. Rinse the surface after the treatment with plenty of water and brush powerfully. Do no allow the surface to dry before the rinsing. Insufficient rinsing and brushing may cause a dustlike layer of unreacted additive on the floor. The floor is ready for use immediately when the surface has dried.
