Tixomatt

A gelatinous alkyd primer that provides good coverage and insulation on walls and ceilings.

For new and previously painted plaster, filler-treated, chipboard, wood fiberboard and wooden surfaces. For interior use only.

The surface to be painted must be dry, the ambient temperature at least +5 °C and the relative humidity of air below 80%.

Unpainted surfaces: Clean the surface of any dirt and dust. Previously painted surfaces: Wash the surfaces with Maalipesu detergent and let dry well.

First coat:

Tixomatt does not usually need to be stirred or thinned before use. If needed, e.g. for priming, thin 5–10% with Alkydiohenne 2010. After thinning, allow the paint to stand for approx. 1 hour to restore its gelatinous texture. Apply 1–2 coats by roller, spray or brush. Finish with Siro Himmeä, if needed. The product contains organic solvents with a noticeable odor.

If needed, after approx. 1 month from painting, at the earliest: Clean the surface with a neutral (pH 6–8) dish washing solution and a soft brush, sponge or cleaning cloth. Clean soiled surfaces using mild alkaline (pH 8–10) detergent solution and a cloth, mop or sponge. Rinse the surface carefully. The product achieves its final hardness and durability after one month under normal conditions, therefore the surfaces must be handled with care during a couple of weeks. If the surfaces need to be cleaned soon after finishing, clean them lightly with a soft brush or damp cleaning cloth.
