A groundbreaking new concept that will revolutionise your spray application work
Plug & Spray™ is a completely new concept developed by PPG to make your daily work as a professional painter as efficient as possible. With Plug & Spray™ you’ll experience a significantly improved workflow, time and cost savings, and a reduction in heavy lifting and awkward working positions – among other benefits.
Plug & Spray™ builds on the “bag-in-box” approach, which we have scaled up by putting 500 litres of filler, adhesive, primer or paint into a specially designed bag, packing the bag into a reinforced cardboard box and securing it all onto a standard pallet. Plug & Spray™ is an innovative concept featuring several PPG-developed, patent-pending* elements.
Read on to learn more about why we consider Plug & Spray™ a revolution in spray application – requiring just one painter and one box for one job.

*Applies only to painting
Plug & Spray™ revolutionises the traditional workflow for spraying jobs. Typically, applying filler often requires two professionals: one to manually fill the bucket and one to spray. Similarly, gluing and painting jobs involve repeated interruptions to change the bucket every 10 litres.
With Plug & Spray™, these manual steps are eliminated. The system ensures a continuous supply of product directly from the source to the sprayer, without the need for frequent bucket changes. Just connect the box to your spraying system and you’re ready to start.
Plug & Spray™ works with most standard high-pressure spraying systems using the specially developed adapter that connects the Plug & Spray™ to your equipment.
Plug & Spray™ eliminates the need to manually lift heavy bags of filler from the pallet to the spraying system as well as the need to frequently change buckets of paint, primer or adhesive at the pump. The system not only improves operational efficiency but also significantly improves the work environment. It reduces strain on the shoulders, back and joints and lowers the risk of injury from repetitious tasks or heavy lifting.
Plug & Spray™ is a closed system that reduces the risk of foreign objects in the product being sprayed, minimising costly downtime and delays. You can also pause your work and continue spraying the next day, over the weekend or even on the next project without issues.

Plug & Spray™ dramatically improves material utilisation compared to traditional solutions. When using 500 litres of filler, around 12% is lost when transferring to the hopper from standard bags. Plug & Spray™ reduces this waste to just 2%.
If you’re using paint in in 10-litre buckets, up to 0.5 litres can be left behind – a loss that is almost eliminated with Plug & Spray™. One 500-litre box of paint equals about 10 conventional buckets, so that’s a 5-litre saving. Plug & Spray™ also reduces spillage and waste on-site, making it a practical and cost-effective solution.
Plug & Spray™ is mounted on a standard EU pallet, so it can be delivered straight to the construction site and easily moved with a pallet truck.
Plug & Spray™ contains several patent-pending* features, including the bag design, the reinforced box construction and the adapter that connects the box to the spraying system.

Plug & Spray™ makes waste management simpler and more environmentally friendly. The box design enables quick and easy waste separation – the sides can be cut open and the inner bag and outer packaging can be easily sorted into plastic and cardboard waste.
Plug & Spray™ also uses significantly less plastic than traditional bags, with only 4 m² of plastic per 500 litres of filler. This compares to up to 25 m² of plastic waste generated by traditional bags. Less waste makes disposal easier and means less space is needed, as well as helping with proper waste separation on-site.
