Description

Fiber-reinforced mortar with cement used as a binder, suitable for spraying; maximum grain size: 3.0 mm. SILKO-approved (3.231).

Product Features

Increasing the protective concrete cover and structural thickness. Vertical jointing of precast concrete elements, jointing of natural stone walls. Also suitable for manual application.

Recommended Uses

Residential, commercial, industrial and storage buildings and others.

Coverage

Approx. 13 l of ready mix / 25 kg dry product. Coverage: about 2.0 kg/m²/mm.

Application Conditions

The temperature of air, mortar and substrate must be at least +5 °C. Avoid working when it is hot or in direct sunlight.

Surface preparation

Old concrete surfaces are cleaned mechanically and pressure cleaned. Moisten the substrate before starting. When starting casting, the surface must be rough, matte damp and absorbent. PREPARING THE MORTAR Add the dry material to the water and mix with a concrete mixer for around 10 minutes. If you use a power mixer, 1-3 minutes of mixing is enough. Let the mix stand for approx. five minutes, then re-mix briefly. Find the right consistency for the mortar when re-mixing the first batch by adding the final amount of water, if necessary. For this reason, you should not measure the maximum amount of water into the mixing container at the start. You can also use an auger mixer for mixing.

Painting

First coat:

Spraying: The thickness of a layer with single spraying on large surfaces is 10-30 mm. Thicker layers are applied in several layers so that the lower layer is allowed to dry for approx. one day before the next layer is applied. The mortar layer can be cut with a cotter pin, but only the final surface can be float finished smooth. Holes are filled by spraying max. 100 mm. The amount of water in the concrete is right when the sprayed mix does not run. NOTE: Regular working methods, the designer’s instructions and regulations must be followed when working with molds, and casting.
