The positive impact of colour

Color holds possibilities — and purpose. In every community, color has the ability to transform the way people think and feel about their surroundings and experiences. In the hands of committed volunteers, PPG paint can make life-changing differences. That’s why thousands of PPG volunteers are protecting and beautifying special places in their lives through our global Colorful Communities program.

Thanks to the energy and passion of PPG's global employees, we have positively impacted more than 10.3 million people and completed 635 projects in over 50 countries since the program launched in 2015. In 2025, we extended the Colorful Communities program for another 10 years to celebrate a decade of beautifying and revitalizing communities.

Empowering people

At Tikkurila, our people, customers and communities are important to us. Being hospitable, National Painters' Day, social projects, colleague days, bringing color into society, we leave no opportunity unused to make every day a success together with our relations.

Safer indoor climates

The well-being and safety of our people, customers and end users is increasingly important.

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) has made its way into the health and well-being conversation and is now a key criterion in industry-led green building standards such as LEED, BREEAM, HQE or WELL. To achieve these all-important accreditations, professionals must demonstrate the ways in which their design has taken indoor air quality into consideration. Which is why our approach focuses on water-based, low-emission solutions that limit impact on indoor air quality.

By offering products certified regarding VOC content or emissions, (Enter brand’s name here) supports you in creating more welcoming spaces for people working or living inside while maintaining your project’s efficiency and long-term standards.

Backed information and certifications

Various Tikkurila products have an Environmental Product Declaration which sets out the details of the product’s carbon footprint and many have emissions certificates to highlight how they meet VOC and IAQ requirements.

We also aim to increase our European Ecolabel certified products, this certification is designed to reduce the environmental impact of paint and varnish products on air, water, soil and biodiversity, and to reduce the environmental damage or risks related to the use of certain chemicals. In addition, the criteria encourage circular economy practices, including waste reduction and products with higher performance levels in terms of durability or efficiency in use.

Thanks to stringent European Ecolabel criteria, these products are formulated with very low emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Low VOC levels help limit the impact on indoor air quality, reducing the risk of irritation, headaches, respiratory discomfort.

The European Ecolabel also guarantees the limited presence of hazardous substances, ensuring safer conditions for both applicators and occupants during application and throughout the product’s lifecycle. This makes Ecolabel-certified paints particularly suitable for homes, schools, healthcare facilities, childcare environments, and offices.

Selecting certified paints helps support comfortable indoor living and working environments—without compromising on performance or aesthetics.

Our advanced coatings are designed to support the highest levels of fire performance, including Euroclass (EN 13501-1) classifications and intumescent coating systems. We offer a wide range of solutions for fire-certified paints such as ( products name for ETICs or intumescent paints).

Innovation that works for you

We are committed to putting painters, end users, and their well-being at the heart of our product development. That is why we continuously develop technologies that make everyday work easier and contribute to safer living places.

(Product’s name here) is based on Air Purifying Technology which includes active agents that capture formaldehyde molecules and improve indoor air quality (the effectiveness of the Air Purifying Technology paint products may change over time depending on a variety of factors such as the size of painted surfaces, the number of layers applied, the use of the in-door space and the concentration of formaldehyde).

Light & Easy technology, incorporated in (Product’s name here), consists of reducing the density of the paint to a level comparable to water, making both the paint cans and the roller lighter for outstanding application comfort. It reduces handling strain on site, improves painter comfort and can therefore contribute to lowering the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. Light & Easy technology makes paint application easier and more efficient.
