Semi-matt low-odour special alkyd-reinforced acrylate paint for use on exterior wood surfaces.
Product Features
Offers good weather resistance, flexibility and an extremely durable low-maintenance finish. Valtti Opaque is moisture regulating and will not crack, peel or blister.
Recommended Uses
Exterior claddings, weatherboarding, window frames etc. Valtti Opaque can be used for new surfaces and surfaces previously coated with Valtti Opaque or semi-transparent wood finishes. Suitable for smooth and sawn wood surfaces and for impregnated wood. Also for industrially primed wood surfaces. Not suitable for treating floors.
Technical Information
Smooth wood: 8-10 m2/l per coat. Sawn wood: 4-8 m2/l per coat. Wet-film thickness approximately 100-250µm per coat, dry-film approximately 40-100µm per coat. Actual spreading rates will depend upon many factors including texture, porosity and moisture content of the substrate.

Valtti Opaque has been developed to withstand the extreme conditions of Finland. The surface is flexible and adjusts to the substrate and seasons. Valtti Opaque forms a water-resistant paint film which is water vapor permeable, allowing moisture to escape from the underlying structure.
The wood fiber remains visible
Semi-matt Valtti Opaque leaves the wood fiber attractively visible, retaining the natural look of wood on both board and timber surfaces.
Excellent maintenance paint
Flexible and breathable Valtti Opaque is an excellent maintenance paint for wooden facades previously treated with semi-transparent or opaque products.
